Ile-de-France Region

The Ile-de-France region is mainly comprised of the city of Paris. It is the most populated region in France and it is the wealthiest in terms of economy. Paris is the most visited city in the world. It is one world's leading capitals of business and culture. There is a lot to see in and around Paris.

Just outside of Paris in Versailles is the Palace of Versailles with its beautiful gardens, fountains, and well-appointed rooms. Another suburb is Giverny. Giverny was the home of Claude Monet and his house and gardens are availabe for tours.

Spending a week in Paris can be a very educational as well as exciting vacation. It offers a bit of everything for the traveler from people watching, cultural events and arts, to a very active nightlife. You can dine simply at a sidewalk cafe or at a five-star restaurant.
